Reproductive Health in Crisis: ​What Workforce Strategies are Needed?

On June 18, the Mullan Institute held its inaugural summit, “Reproductive Health in Crisis: What Workforce Strategies are Needed?” to address reproductive health as it relates to patient access, population health, and workforce rights and challenges. The aim of this summit was to examine the landscape of reproductive health services and policies that threaten access to appropriate and comprehensive care in the United States. Representatives of various reproductive health institutions focused on pipeline and distribution issues, as well as the challenges of recruitment and retention of providers. The keynote speaker was Dr. Leana Wen, MD, MSc, President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
