The Universidad Nacional Arturo Jauretche, recently awarded 2018 Atlantic Fellow for Health Equity, Jonatan Konfino for his research project on non communicable diseases that aim to improve the readiness of public health care facilities to provide higher quality services for NCDs in two underserved districts of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. The GWMI hosted members of the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea institute for Health and Social Affairs to discuss how U.S. policies address challenges in health workforce. Earlier this year, the Institute also hosted an Argentine delegation of Provincial Ministers of Health, Senators, and Chamber of Commerce leaders.
Patricia Pittman, co-director of the GW Health Workforce Institute, is one of four individuals named as Honorary Fellows. The Academy is comprised of nurse leaders in education, management, practice, policy and research. The Honorary Fellow designation recognizes the contributions of noteworthy professionals from outside of the nursing profession. Read more
