Lauren Muñoz, PhD, RN, FNP-BC

Lauren Muñoz is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Fitzhugh Mullan Institute for Health Workforce Equity. She holds a BSN, MSN, and PhD in Nursing from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. As a nurse, she has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings and also as a rheumatology nurse practitioner. Her research interest centers around the career decision-making of nurses, with the goal of retaining and expanding the number of nurses in shortage areas, increasing diversity among the graduate-prepared nursing workforce, and helping nurses manage career and educational challenges.
