Tiahna Pantovich, MSW

Tiahna Pantovich was born and raised in the Washington, D.C., area. She joined the U.S. Army her senior year in high school to become an Arabic Cryptologic Linguist. Tiahna loved working with languages and now can converse in four languages. While in the Army, she advocated for Sexual Assault survivors and worked closely with the Inspector General headquartered at the Pentagon to investigate the conditions at Fort Hood Army Base in Killeen, TX. She left the Army and began studies at the University of Michigan to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Community Action and Social Change.
While at U of M, Tiahna was a vocal advocate for social change. She worked hard to make the social space around her more equitable, fair and kind for everyone. She has four college degrees, most recently graduating with her fourth, in Social Work, from the illustrious Howard University. While at Howard, Tiahna was a ferocious advocate for minority student veterans. So much so that she was nominated as a finalist for the National Student Veteran of the Year Award for 2022. Currently, she is a therapist for those that have experienced trauma and is finishing a Spring 2022 internship with the House Veterans Affairs Committee on Capitol Hill. She plans to pursue a Doctorate in the future to study genetics and the heritability of certain mental illnesses. She recently bought a home in Baltimore for her three amazing cats, Bloo, Mr. Gray, and Queen Naranja.
