Health Workforce Innovations to Support Delivery System Transformation
September 12-13, 2016
This invitational meeting was co-sponsored by the Texas Medical Center (TMC) and the GWHWI. The transformation of the delivery system as been underway for years greatly spurred on by the ACA. In general, there is pressure to do more with the resources we have including the health workforce. It is timely to review some of the promising innovations in the health workforce and to identify innovations that appear ready for wider implementation. The meeting identified factors that encourage and discourage innovations. The goal of this meeting was to identify promising health workforce innovations that support delivery system transformation and develop recommendations for their implementation.
