Shadelle Yancey is an Institute Associate working with the Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity. She provides operational and logistical support. She holds a BA in Global Public Health from the University of Virginia. Shadelle has several years of research experience ranging from community engagement to public health emergency preparedness.
Ms. Yancey is passionate about many things, including financial and health literacy, mentorship, community, fitness, travel, and most importantly, food. She is particularly interested in examining institutional policies that will support building resilient and self-sufficient communities. In addition, She is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and is dedicated to activating Black communities through physical wellness to reduce the significant health disparities prevalent among this population.
