Raashmi Krishnasamy
Institute Assistant, Milken Institute School of Public Health

Raashmi Krishnasamy is the Institute Assistant for the Beyond Flexner Alliance. In this role, she works closely with program leadership to advance social mission in the health professions. She supports the BFA's programmatic and communications plans to engage the program's network of partners. As a passionate advocate and aspiring changemaker, she seeks to bridge gaps between research, policy, and implementation to eliminate health disparities at individual, community, and systemic levels. Previously, Raashmi has served in various positions with Families USA, the DC Primary Care Association, Nemours Office of Child Health Policy and Advocacy, and the American Heart Association. A strong believer in community organization, she recently co-founded South Asians Building Bridges, to facilitate critical dialogue around race and equity, and social justice action within and beyond communities in Pittsburgh.

Raashmi recently graduated with her MPH in Community Oriented Primary Care from the Milken Institute School of Public Health and holds a B.S. in Neuroscience from Carnegie Mellon University.
