Research project description: Indira Islas is working with the Mullan Institute on a research project that will explore the critical role of immigrant healthcare professionals in addressing workforce shortages and improving healthcare access in the United States. This project will analyze national-level data to quantify the contributions of immigrants across various healthcare occupations. The findings will inform policy recommendations to support immigrant integration into the healthcare workforce. The research will help inform and expand on current studies within the Mullan Institute and contribute to its broader mission of advancing health equity.
